The other day I did a live with my kids, showing you how to make edible cookie dough single serve size. It was a hit with everyone so I decided to share the recipe with you here on my blog today.

The Details

It was a long time before we were allowed to eat cookie dough from the mixing bowl. It wasn’t until the creator of DO came up with the recipe that allowed for such a thing. She started the trend that soon followed so many people coming up with their versions of the recipe. Although DO uses pasteurized eggs, I wanted to forgo the eggs and just keep it simple stupid.

So as my live went, you can do this with the kids or just for yourself when you want something sweet that is fast and easy to make.

One thing to remember

Even though we’re not using eggs, we still have to be diligent with the other ingredients. Flour contains some bacteria and has been know to carry E-coli. So before getting started with the recipe, we are going to heat treat the flour. It’s super simple (I’m telling you , this recipe is gold!).

There are 2 ways to do it. First option, you can heat it in the oven at a temperature of 350 degrees for 5-8 minutes. Or you can zap it in the microwave on high for 1 minute 30 seconds.

How to sweeten it up

There are so many different variations of what you can add to this cookie dough. You can add sprinkles to make funfetti, you can make smores by adding mini marshmallows, add peanut butter, make rocky road, etc. You can do what ever your heart desires 😄

This can be kept in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, but it really doesn’t last past a day lol

Have fun making this!
