There are only 30 days until Christmas! Are you ready for family? For Santa? This year, I decided to take my sweet table act on the road and collaborate with my family and friends. I went to Ottawa, Ontario and got some pretty cool and talented people together for this fun and really cute Christmas Styled Dessert Table.

This year’s theme was all about the kids. I got the little cousins together for a fun shoot to be able to surprise my parents with a beautiful photo of their grandkids. I set up a dessert table and a kids dinner table. I adorned the table with some flowers from Stoneblossom Floral  Gallery. Lynette was so great and helpful. She did an amazing job putting together an arrangement to go with my theme.

The colour palette was fun and bright: blue, pink, green and silver. I was able to get everyone together at the neighbourhood cafe called Cafe Latte Cino. Thanks to Susan for allowing us the space to get my family together! We can get pretty loud when we’re together.

Our fancy cookies for the holiday were made by the talented Earleen from Sweeter by the Dozen – Ottawa. She created some pretty amazing snowflakes and ornaments. Anna from Anna’s Fantabulous Cakes did such an amazing job with the cake. The snowmen were the cutest details! My son even tried to open one of the fondant presents on the cake. It was a hit with the kids! I created the rest of the desserts to go with our table, making some cake pops to look like ornaments.

My sisters were in on the action as well. My oldest sister created the Christmas tree to go with the table. She always amazes me every year. This year was no different. And my youngest sister from Beauty Queendom, did hair and makeup. She was able to rally the kids, get them ready and dressed and smiling for the camera. Probably the hardest job that day.

A big thank you to Christine for taking these amazing photos! I know that my parents will cherish them forever.

Here are some of the details I added to the children’s dinner table.

Deserts are the must have for any event. Especially Christmas!

A little gift exchange and our attempt for a cousins portrait. I hope that my parents will be happy with their gift!

And now for some behind the scenes to getting the above “perfect” shot 🙂
